What’s happening this weekend?

There are lots of great events happening this weekend.

It’s the weekend, and month-end, and there’s lots to do in and around Krugersdorp.

Here is what is happening this weekend:

• Saturday 27 May will be a day with many activities to choose from. The NG Kerk Krugersdorp-Oos in Lismore Street, Kenmare is hosting their annual winter festival. The day promises to be one for the books with children’s entertainment, a fun run, a table tennis championship, food, boerie rolls, stalls and much more.

• The Gateway Society is also hosting their annual winter market from 9am at the Gateway Village, corner Van Dalen and Peter Roads, Wilgespruit. Come and spend a fun-filled day with them. A big variety of hand-crafted goods, baby clothes, bric-a-brac and art work will be available.

• The NG Kerk Krugersdorp-Noord is also hosting a bazaar with well-known artists Nadine and Gert Koevert performing. The bazaar kicks off at 8am. There will be a tea garden for visitors to relax and enjoy the day. Food stalls with traditional foods will also be available for the community to enjoy.

• The YouTube sensation, Jonathan of Radio Raps will be perfoming at Silverstar. Enjoy a night of hysterics and humour with his new one-man show Dingetjies en Goetertjies. In this show, Jonathan from the East Rand relates to everyday life, where he is trying to make sense of it all – especially those small, yet irritating things in life. The show is scheduled to start at 8pm. Tickets are on sale at R150 per person, and are available at www.silverstarcasino.co.za.

If you see one of the News journalists at one of these events, come and say “Hi” and have your photo taken. Enjoy your weekend.
