Driver hijacked by men who helped him
The victim, who had car trouble, was helped by four passers-by who subsequently hijacked him.
A man was hijacked by four men who ‘came to his assistance’ when his car broke down on the side of Windsor Road in Luipaardsvlei.
It is believed the victim encountered car trouble at about 11pm on Monday, 22 May. He parked his car at the side of the road to check what the problem was. Four men then approached him, and offered their assistance.

They helped him by pushing his car until it started. As soon as it was running, they threatened to shoot the driver, and then jumped into the car.
They forced him to drive to Tshepisong where they left him, and drove away.
No injuries were reported and the vehicle hasn’t been recovered.

Krugersdorp Police urged motorists to be vigilant when driving at night and to keep the Crime Stop number readily available for emergencies.
