New torches as token of appreciation
Thanks for all the support and assistance the department has provided to the estate over the past couple of years.
The local fire department recently received a very useful donation from Pinehaven Country Estate.
The estate recently decided to show its appreciation to the department by donating 10 torches for them to use in their daily activities. The estate would like to thank Chief Gerhard Nieuwoudt and his team for all the support and assistance they have provided to the estate over the past couple of years.

“It has been a pleasure dealing with Chief Nieuwoudt and his team in the past and we look forward to a great working relationship going forward,” said the chairperson of the estate, Mark Oosthuizen.
Chief Nieuwoudt thanked the estate for its contribution and told the News that the torches will come in handy in the future as the department regularly finds itself working in very dark situations.
Some of the team members who were present during the delivery were very excited and expressed their appreciation towards Mark and the estate.
