Customer and shop assistant fight over shoes
They fought over the price of shoes, and one woman allegedly hit the other in the face.
A case of common assault has been opened against a shop assistant after two women fought over a pair of shoes in Key West Shopping Mall.
It is believed that the customer entered a shoe shop in the centre and looked at a pair of shoes. She claims that she inquired about the price of the shoes and was told that it was R360. Shortly after that, the assistant said the price was R260. The woman liked the second price, and said she was going to take the shoes. However, when the cashier rang up the sale, a price of R340 appeared on the cash register.

The shopper suggested that they work out the average between the three prices, which she was more than happy to pay. However, the cashier refused the offer, and an exchange of words ensued.
Another assistant then took the shoes back to the shelf to stop the argument, but the customer turned around and knocked the shoes out of her hands.
The customer began yelling and the assistant allegedly hit her in the face.
