Two incidents … one culprit?
It is believed that the two incidents are related, but this is subject to investigation by local authorities.
A man was killed and two others injured after an apparent robbery at a shop at the junction of the R114 with Cedar Road near Lanseria on the night of 7 June.
According to Russel Meiring, ER24’s spokesperson, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found Life Healthcare services already assessing the two men.

They found that one man had sustained a gunshot wound to his chest, while the other had been shot in the abdomen. Both men were in a serious condition.
Paramedics treated the men and provided them with advanced life support interventions. Both men were then transported to a nearby private hospital for further treatment.
ER24 paramedics were then called to another shooting incident a short distance away at a nearby lodge.
There they found that a man had a gunshot wound to his chest and showed no signs of life. CPR as well as advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in an attempt to revive him.
Unfortunately, the man was declared dead shortly after.
It is believed that the two incidents are related, but this is subject to investigation by local authorities.
