Suspects load fridge into victim’s car and speed off
They were arrested days later and charged with robbery.
In a joint effort with the Trio Task team, the Kagiso Police launched a manhunt on Wednesday, 14 June that continued until about 3am the following morning as they tracked down a number of suspects believed to be dangerous and terrorising members of the community of Tshepisong.
The sting operation included the apprehension of two house robbery suspects aged 26 and 33, who had allegedly attacked and pistol-whipped a resident of the area.

It’s believed the man was asleep in his house when his tenant called him. The tenant informed him that there was someone next to his vehicle.
The man went outside to investigate and found an unknown suspect, who assaulted him by smashing a gun butt against his forehead. He collapsed to the ground, and then noticed there were more suspects. They ordered him to lie on his stomach and then entered his house. They ransacked it and found his car keys. They then took his fridge and loaded it into his car. The armed suspect fired a shot in the air before they sped off in the victim’s car.
The suspects were traced and arrested in the early hours of that morning. They were detained at Kagiso Police Station and will be charged accordingly.
