Four arrested in stop and search
They were travelling on the R24 when police stopped them and discovered firearms in their possession.
Magaliesburg Police arrested four suspects for possession of firearms and ammunition on the R24 on Saturday, 24 June.
The members were conducting stop and search operations on the R24/ Rustenburg Road when they stopped a BMW with five male occupants.

The Trio team, Sergeant Mienies and Constables Makhashu and Mameja searched the vehicle and found three firearms and 10 rounds of ammunition.
Four men, aged between 32 and 46, were arrested and detained at the Krugersdorp Police station cells. It’s not clear what happened to the fifth suspect.

Major General Anna Mateisi, commander of the West Rand Cluster, applauded the members and encouraged them to continue combating crime in this manner.
