Jehovah’s Witnesses warmly invite all to their Don’t Give Up! conventions
An estimated 75 000 delegates are expected to attend.
Today, many people are disappointed with life in general, but the Bible tells us: “Don’t give up”.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses in South Africa are organising 58 conventions – in 17 languages – in 20 cities and towns, and are warmly inviting the public to attend all three days of one of their upcoming conventions, under the theme ‘Don’t Give Up!’
This year’s convention will show how we can enjoy a happy life now and have a bright outlook for the future.
Beginning on Friday, 18 August, the Witnesses in Gauteng will be hosting these free events at the Johannesburg Expo Centre with separate sessions in English, French, Sesotho, Setswana, Shona, Venda and Xhosa. The next convention will be held from 25 to 27 August, in Afrikaans, Chichewa, English, Sesotho and Zulu and a further convention will take place from 1 to 3 September, in Chinese, English, Italian, Portuguese, Sepedi, Tsonga and Zulu.
An estimated 75 000 delegates are expected to attend. Worldwide, there are over 8,34 million active Witnesses in more than 119 000 congregations. As they have in years past, the Witnesses will distribute a special invitation to the public welcoming them to attend the programme.
The dates and locations for each convention as well as the programme schedules can be found on the Witnesses’ official website at https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/conventions/.
There is no admission fee and no collection will be taken. Conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses are supported entirely by voluntary donations.
