18-year-old parolee arrested in connection with murder
Together with five other suspects, the parolee allegedly beat a man to death.
An 18-year-old parolee was one of six suspects who was arrested yesterday in connection with a murder that occurred on Saturday, 9 September.
The suspects were allegedly in Tarlton near the Smokedown Informal Settlement at 11am that day, when they approached the victim. They severely assaulted him, causing him to sustain critical head injuries.
He was transported to the nearest hospital for medical attention, but died soon after arrival.

Constable Lucky Matome, spokesperson for the Tarlton Police, said the motive for the attack is suspected to be gang-related.
The suspects are minors between the ages of 15 and 18.
The oldest suspect is on parole and is being kept under correctional supervision.
A case of murder was opened against the suspects who were expected to appear in court today, 12 September.
