DA reaches out to Munsieville
According to Victor Mhlari, ward councillor for the area, all the products were kindly donated by the Featherbrooke community.
On Saturday, 14 October Munsieville residents were invited to Munsieville Primary School where they were welcomed by the DA with heaps of clothes, non-perishable canned foods, sunflower oil, maize meal, tea, sugar, powdered soup, biscuits, toilet paper, laundry detergent and a freshly made meal for the day.

This was in light of the devastating effects the severe storm that occurred on Monday, 9 October had on Munsieville.
This follows after constituency chairperson and councillor Kagiso Lekagane handed out food hampers in the area earlier that day.

According to Victor Mhlari, PR (Proportional representation) councillor for the area, all the products were kindly donated by the Featherbrooke community.
“This initiative was brought up in our most recent caucus meeting. We identified the need and thought it best to try to make this a weekly thing until the community is back on its feet again,” he explained.
On this day, a substantial number of ward councillors from all over Mogale City gathered at the school and worked together to ensure each resident walked away with some helpful donations, a full tummy and a smile.

The DA now aims to host a ‘helping’ day such as this one, every Saturday at the school until Munsieville has recovered from the storm.
