Local schools receive special message

Every year the Christ Kids Trust hosts a roadshow that brings Bible stories to life with a message of hope to as many local schools as possible.

Every year, the Christ Kids Trust – a non-profit organisation which places youth workers and counsellors in schools to assist learners – hosts a roadshow that brings Bible stories to life with a message of hope to as many local schools as possible.

Recently, more than ten local schools were overjoyed to be visited by this organisation, which had a special message for them.

During the past few weeks they have visited Laerskool Ebenhaeser, Laerskool Muldersdrift, Laerskool Millennium Primary, Patrick Mashego Primary, Munsieville Primary, Diphalane Primary, West Rand School for the Disabled, Town School, Little Citizen Academy, and the Gateway School, among others.

Not only did they tell the courageous story of Jonah and the whale, but they also prayed for victims of the storm that occurred on Monday, 9 October, at each school.

“It is a privilege to be involved with these schools. We really wanted to bring some hope after the storm,” coordinator Nadine Swanepoel said.

She added that the Trust has been through an extraordinary growth process since its establishment 15 years ago.

“We started out with only one school, and now we are involved with 12 schools, and we can’t wait to grow even more,” she said.

Nadine went on to explain that each year they prepare a different play with a different meaning.

“Last year we talked about the real meaning of Christmas. This year is Jonah and the whale, and next year we are planning something even bigger and better,” she concluded.
