Beaming bikers benefit their brothers

They might be stereotyped as the Big Bad Wolves of the West Rand, but in reality they have hearts of gold with an appetite for giving.

When told, “What big ears you’ve got”, they will respond with: “All the better to hear the cries for help”. When told, “What big eyes you’ve got”, they’ll declare: “All the better to see the struggle around us”. And when told, “What big hands you’ve got”, they’ll counter with: “All the better to help those in need”.

They might be stereotyped as the Big Bad Wolves of the West Rand, but in reality they have hearts of gold with an appetite for giving. They are the bikers of the country, and with the help of one another they aim to assist those in dire straights.

This is why the Final Few, a national biker’s club, recently hosted a day ‘jol’ – the Mozzi Run – in aid of bikers in need. According to the club’s Johannesburg Chapter President, Peter Baker, this was the Final Few’s first day ‘jol’ in about 40 years. It was held at the Bush Pub in Muldersdrift.

Johan van Eck, a pastor at the West Rand Biking Association’s (WRBA) church , explained that the day’s proceeds will go towards the Biker’s Benevolent Fund, which is run by the church.

The day ‘jollers’ were also thrilled when the club’s national president, Mario Parsons decided to pay a visit.

The West Rand’s biker-hood aims to change a lot of lives for the better with this project, and is thankful for everyone who forms part of it.
