Bowling for Soup:

Bowling for Soup.

30 MARCH — BreakOut brings Grammy- and Emmy-nominated pop-punk band, Bowling For Soup to South Africa for the first time. They will perform at Rumours Lounge in Randburg and are supported by local acts Made For Broadway, Grassy Spark and Slippery When Wet. Bowling For Soup perform their certified hit singles such as Grammy-nominated Girl All The Bad Guys Want, the US smash hit 1985 and more. Tickets cost R325 and the show starts at 6pm. Easter Playground:

Easter Playground at Silverstar.

30 MARCH-8 APRIL — The Square at Silverstar will be transformed into an Easter Playground (https://www.tsogosun.com/silverstar-casino/whats-on-silverstar/entertainment/silverstar-easter-playground-2018). From 10am to 5pm daily, kids will be able to enjoy the range of Easter-themed activities available, and as an added surprise, the Easter Bunny will be handing out chocolates to visitors throughout the weekend. Kiddies activities include jumping castles (with dedicated child-minders stationed at the activity), Easter maze games for both adults and kids, Easter egg hunts, face painting, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and a range of other interactive activities. With free entrance to The Square, free parking until the end of March, and a wealth of surprises in store for the little ones, Silverstar is the place to relax with family and friends this Easter weekend.

Kiddies Easter at Garden World:

1-2 APRIL — From 10am, children can enjoy pot painting and face painting at Garden World’s Easter event followed by a tractor ride and an Easter egg hunt with the Easter Bunny. Cost is R60 per child per session and includes the pot, paint, seedling, face painting and the egg hund. Booking is essential. For details, contact 011 956 3003 or 011 957 2545.

Easter market:

2 APRIL — Adults also get to take part in the Easter fun this year. This Easter Monday, 2 April, Silverstar’s quaint and quirky, eccentric and amazing pop-up Easter market will be the place to hunt for great deals, delightful curios and designer items. Entrance is free from 10am to 5pm.

Boeredans:

7 APRIL — Die Tradisionele Boeremusiekklub aan die Wes-Rand vier hulle 25ste bestaansjaar in die Witpoortjie Ontspanningsentrum, op die hoek van Suid- en Vermootenweg in Princess, Roodepoort. Bring jou eie mandjie met eet- en drinkgoed saam en dans op die maat van egte tradisionele Boeremusiek gespeel deur Hannes Schoeman, Danie Grey, Piet Snyman, Ferdie van Zyl, Stephaan van Zyl en ander musikante.
