Some Easter magic at Silverstar’s playground

There are loads to do this Easter for both young and old.

Until Sunday, 8 April, The Square at Silverstar will be transformed into an Easter Playground.

From 10am to 5pm daily, kids will be able to enjoy the range of Easter-themed activities available, and as an added surprise, the Easter Bunny will be handing out chocolates to visitors throughout the weekend.

Kiddies activities include jumping castles (with dedicated child-minders stationed at the activity), Easter maze games for both adults and kids, Easter egg hunts, face painting, crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and a range of other interactive activities. With free entrance to The Square, free parking until the end of March, and a wealth of surprises in store for the little ones, Silverstar is the place to relax with family and friends this Easter weekend.

Adults also get to take part in the Easter fun this year. This Easter Monday, 2 April, Silverstar’s quaint and quirky, eccentric and amazing pop-up Easter market will be the place to hunt for great deals, delightful curios and designer items. Entrance is free from 10am to 5pm.

Barnyard Silverstar has joined in on the Easter festivities by introducing ‘Easter Family Fun’ from Friday, 30 March to Saturday, 28 April. During this period, kids under 12 get FREE entry, with reduced ticket prices for adults applicable on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. If you’re a grandparent who wants to treat the grandkids, you’ll be pleased to hear that pensioners enjoy a 50 per cent discount on Sundays, so get down to Barnyard Theatre Silverstar this Easter! Tickets are available at the Silverstar Box Office for just R130 per person. (Easter Discount only valid for Barnyard Productions, excluding fundraisers and kids’ shows, limited to two kids per full price paying adult.)

Peter Rabbit will be opening on the big screen at movies@ Silverstar on 30 March 2018 – the perfect Easter movie for the whole family. movies@ Silverstar is currently running a 50 per cent off promotion, meaning that adults pay just R27 (2D) or R35 (3D), while kids under 18 pay just R22 (2D) and R27 (3D). Get the whole family down to Silverstar and catch the latest blockbusters for half the price!

While you’re at Silverstar during the Easter weekend, take this opportunity to spend time at the incredible Future Park – an interactive, other-worldly experience which has been seen by more than four million children across the world. Silverstar guests have been left in awe after a stroll through the futuristic park.

Feedback from visitors includes: “We were blown away by the park, and I think that it is important that young children experience things like this, considering how important the use of technology has become in the development of our children. What a great way to spend a Sunday!”

Future Park’s fun, interactive activities will captivate the imagination and introduce young ones to the marvels of technology, using scanners and sensors to make each child’s colourful drawings come to life in this unique digital universe, while the kids develop their fine motor skills. Future Park will be open at Silverstar until Sunday, 8 April. For information on ticket pricing, visit https://www.silverstar.co.za.
