Hike the Koppies:

8 APRIL — Join the three-koppie group hike of up to 10km through the Melville Koppies. The group sets off 8.30am sharp. You can park, meet and pay in the upper car park at Marks Park, in Judith Road, Emmarentia. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 for children – all donations are used to maintain the Koppies. Hikers must be fit with good balance as paths are rocky and steep. Children must be over six years old. Sorry, no dogs are allowed. Craft demonstrations:

11 APRIL — Join Joan Launspach and Ray Esmany for inspirational craft demonstrations at the Hearts and Crafts Studio in Noordheuwel from 7pm. They will be showcasing a revolutionary new method of transferring images and creating texture on furniture, cakes, fabric, paper and mixed media applications. Musical shows:

14 APRIL — The Princess Methodist Church is hosting a fundraiser in the form of a musical show with bells, by Gottfried Schiele at 17 Jan van Rooyen Street, Witpoortjie. Costs are R40 for adults, and children under 12 pay R20. The show starts at 9.30am. Monies made will be used to help poor people in our community. Lianie May at the Barnyard:

Liani May is set to dazzle the crowd at Silverstar.

14 APRIL — Afrikaans pop fans – this one is for you! Marking her 10th anniversary in the South African music industry, Lianie May will be performing at Silverstar on Saturday, 14 April. Tickets cost R100 per person and are available at Silverstar’s Box Office or online.

60 Years of Shine:

21 APRIL — Join Girls and Boys Town for a family fun festival at their Magaliesburg campus from 10am. There will be live entertainment, lots of kids’ entertainment, food stalls, historic tours and loads more to do. This year marks their 60th anniversary and as a way of giving back, they invite all to attend this special celebration. Tailor returns to South Africa:

Tailor is coming to South Africa.

23 APRIL — After having performed at the iconic Hammersmith Apollo in front of thousands of fans in Johnny Clegg’s Final Journey Tour, Tailor returns to South Africa for an exclusive two weeks in her #1000MILESTOUR. British fans have since celebrated Tailor’s outlandish stage performance at the famous Bedford in Balham, where Ed Sheeran first made a name for himself. Tailor will be performing at the Silverstar Barnyard from 8pm. Tickets are R150 per person. Bookings can be made through https://www.caferouxsessions.co.za.
