Another lucky Meat World car winner announced
The proceedings at Meat World Krugersdorp mirrored the others all over the country, with a great many customers gathering at Valley View Retail Centre in hopes of driving away as the owner of a spanking new car.
It’s that time again. On Saturday, 7 April, 12 lucky Meat World shoppers across South Africa drove home with brand new Suzuki Swifts after winning Meat World’s annual Win-a-Car competition.
The proceedings at Meat World Krugersdorp mirrored the others all over the country, with a great many customers gathering at Valley View Retail Centre in hopes of driving away as the owner of a spanking new car.

On Friday, 6 April, the finalists from each branch were contacted telephonically and informed of their place in the draw. The day after, each branch drew ten names from a pool of semi-finalists.
Meat World had lined up some of South Africa’s best performers to help celebrate the draws at the nation-wide event. In Krugersdorp, customers were welcomed and entertained by musician Ricus Nel and singer Karlien van Jaarsveld, who performed some of their most popular hits.

During the lucky draw, a fun filtering process was hosted by actor Marno van der Merwe, best known for his starring role as Brad Jooste in the KykNET musical youth drama series, Sterlopers.
The lucky customers were then given the chance to choose one out of ten small boxes, only one of which held the sought-after winning key, with the other nine holding key rings.
After the customers had chosen their boxes, it was time to reveal the winner, and it was none other than Charmaine Brits.
“My heart almost stopped when I opened the box and the key was there – I trembled badly. Before I opened the box, something told me that the car was going to be mine,” she said.
“I prayed for this car, and it’s as if I knew that I was going to win it. I am so thankful and I would like to thank Meat World for this amazing gift.”
The team at Meat World would like to thank all of their loyal customers for their participation in the competition and wish many safe driving miles to the lucky winners.
