Mystery Ghost Bus:

20 APRIL — The Mystery Ghost Bus will run in Johannesburg from 7pm until midnight (ending at a cemetery of course). There will be ‘Pub & Grub’ stops, poltergeists, electronic voice phenomenon recordings, dowsing rods, mysterious castles, a dark haunted room and graveyards stops. The cost is R389 per person. 60 Years of Shine:
21 APRIL — Join Girls and Boys Town for a family fun festival at their Magaliesburg campus from 10am. Book your family tickets early and you can stand a chance of winning a game drive and archery tickets for two courtesy of Monkwe Gametrackers. There will be live entertainment, lots of kids’ entertainment, food stalls, historic tours and loads more to do. This year marks their 60th anniversary and as a way of giving back, they invite all to attend this special celebration. Bell of Hope cycle challenge:
22 APRIL — The annual Bell of Hope Cycle challenge for mental wellness will take place at the Cradle of Humankind. The event boast two distances – 50 km and 15km (for the not so fit) – and entries cost R150 per cyclist, if done through www.cycleevents.co.za. Late entries will cost R180 per cyclist, and can be done at Cycle Lab Fourways, on 21 April between 9.30am and 2.30pm, or on the day of the race from 5.30am. Hike the Koppies:

22 APRIL — A three-koppie group hike of up to 10km through the Melville Koppies will set off at 8.30am sharp. Park, meet and pay in the upper car park at Marks Park in Judith Road, Emmarentia. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 for children – all donations are used to maintain the Koppies. Hikers must be fit with good balance as paths are rocky and steep. Children must be over six years old. Craft demonstrations:
24 APRIL — Join Joan Launspach and Ray Esmany for inspirational craft demonstrations at AnaPaula’s Coffee Shop in Monument from 9am. They will be showcasing a revolutionary new method of transferring images and creating texture on furniture, cakes, fabric, paper and mixed media applications.
