Rotary Anns put service above self

As the event was hosted in celebration of both Valentine's Day and Easter, most of the guests arrived dressed in beautiful shades of red, pink and white.

Senior citizens from the Golden Age Village, Memorial Apartments and Huis 47 gathered in the name of unconditional love and jolly Easter festivities when a few Krugersdorp Rotary Anns hosted a special event just for them.

As the event was hosted in celebration of both Valentine’s Day and Easter, on Thursday, 19 April, most of the guests arrived dressed in beautiful shades of red, pink and white. Once seated, they were welcomed by a delightful message delivered by Pastor Jan Vos from the AGS Krugersdorp West.

According to Anns president, Mandy Wright, and incoming president, Minnie Pretorius, this is their biggest project of the year. Because they are responsible for the spiritual and social well-being of these elderly folks, they are always on the search for new ways to make them feel special.

This event was no different as the hall at Golden Age Village was filled with laughter, nostalgic company and some sweet treats.
