5 MEI — Die CVO Skool Brandwag (net verby die Krugersdorp Wildtuin) in Tarlton hou ‘n gesinspretdag en beesloop vanaf 8vm. Dit gaan ‘n heerlike dag vol pret en boereplesier wees met talle stalletjies en verskillende kossoorte te koop. Die beesloop beloof om ook groot pret te wees. LAN event:
4–6 MAY — Aztech LAN is hosting a LAN event at HTS N Diederichs THS from 5pm. All those interested are invited to join in. Team Comps are R20 per player for UT3, CS:GO and Dota 2 are R10 per person for the weekend. Food and drinks will be on sale throughout the weekend. Rum Festival:
6 MAY — The Pan-African Rum Festival takes place at the Neighbourgoods Market in Johannesburg. It is a celebration, a resurrection and an appreciation of the role that this golden liquid has played in our African heritage. We all know that certain spirits have made a comeback – gin is one of them – but rum is an institution in itself, being the base for so many much-loved cocktails and yet telling a story on its own … neat … in a tumbler. Tickets are R120 and available from Quicket at https://www.quicket.co.za.
Fighting for a cause:
10 MAY — Mayhem Fitness Academy in proud partnership with The Dempsey Foundation, a non-profit organisation, presents MAYHEM4DEMPSEY – a White Collar Boxing Bonanza in aid of children with cerebral palsy, at Silverstar Barnyard. This is a white-collar boxing event where sporting memorabilia will be on auction. Guests will then enjoy live entertainment. All proceeds will go the the Dempsey Foundation – helping kids with cerebral palsy. Tickets cost between R150 and R200 each. For more information, contact Marc on 060 874 0597.
