Dowry responds to call for warmth as fast as they would to a robbery
Dowry donated 50 hot water bottles to two shelters to help them beat the coming cold weather.
Dowry Guarding and Armed Response heard the ice-cold cries of the people at Cradle of Hope and Tower of Life, who were crying out for hot water bottles, and responded as quickly as they would respond to a call-out.
The shelters’ manager, Melodie van Brakel, put up a Facebook post asking for donations of hot water bottles to bring some comfort to the people in her shelters.

“Due to financial restraints and for the fear of fires, heaters aren’t allowed to be used in the shelters. We need 50 hot water bottles,” said Melodie in her post.
Dowry said one of its employees read the post and brought it to the company’s attention. The company then decided to make their wishes come true and donated the bottles.
The shelter still needs a few items to withstand the cold temperatures, like blankets, clothing, and food.
