Bored and looking for something to do this weekend? Check out these local events.

Although it might seem like a quiet weekend ahead, there are a few things happening which you might be interested in.

Take note of the following:

Flea market every Saturday:

19 MAY — There is a safe and secure flea market every Saturday from 8am to 3pm at Mogale City Town Hall. The entrance is in President Street. For further enquiries contact Dehlia or Claudette on 011 953 3727.

Every Saturday, behind Town Hal, there is a flea market.

Methodist Church Fete:

19 MAY — The Princess Methodist Church is hosting a fete to raise funds for their 50th Anniversary. There will be vintage cars on display, a jumping castle for the children plus face painting. There will be a tea garden with great food and other stalls too. The fete takes place at 19 Jan van Rooyen Street, Witpoortjie from 9am to 2pm.

Guided group tour:

20 MAY — Join in on a guided group tour through the Melville Koppies. The group sets off at 8.30am sharp. Park, meet and pay in the upper car park at Marks Park on Judith Road, Emmarentia. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 for children – all donations are used to maintain the Koppies. Hikers must be fit with good balance as paths are rocky and steep. Children must be over six years old.
