[WATCH] Singing Norie to represent SA in Hollywood
She is one of only 36 South Africans that has been chosen to compete in the upcoming World Championships of Performing Arts.
Mariska Adriaanzen is one of only 36 South Africans who have been chosen to compete in the upcoming World Championships of Performing Arts (which will take place in Hollywood in July) after acheiving gold at the qualifying competition.
The local resident and Hoërskool Noordheuwel learner has been singing ever since she can remember. She has been in several bands, competed in a number of national singing competitions and even nailed gigs as far as Magaliesburg and Sandton.

Since she started taking singing lessons at the age of nine, she has participated in a great many competitions including Kids with Talent and several Sacopa (South African Championships of Performing Arts) competitions.
During the upcoming world champions, which will be her biggest competition yet, she aims to participate in nine genres including Pop, Contemporary, Gospel, Jazz, R and B (Rhythm and Blues), Broadway, Country and Western, Rock and Variety and Other.

Mariska hopes to compose her own music in future and to release original singles. She added that she finds inspiration in artists such as Selena Gomez, Katy Perry, Lianie May, Riana Nel, Karlien van Jaarsveld and Ray Dylan and loves singing a lot of their hits.
However, Mariska still needs all the help she can get in order to make it to Hollywood. If you are interested in making her dream come true, feel free to contact André Adriaanzen on 083 263 4780.
Here is Mariska performing at the most recent Sacopa competition on 13 April this year:
