St Ursulines compete in annual Bible quiz

During the morning, a total of seven primary school teams competed against each other.

St Ursula’s School recently hosted an Interschool Bible Quiz which was incorporated into their annual Catholic School’s Week.

This all-day event was held in May and welcomed several schools, namely McAuley House, St Matthew’s School, Mayfair Convent and St David’s.

During the morning, a total of seven primary school teams competed against each other, while seven high school teams competed against each other that afternoon.

Each category of schools was allocated a Gospel to study. This year, the primary schools studied the Gospel of Mark and the high schools studied the Gospel of St Luke.

They were also asked general knowledge questions and each team was given an allocated time in which to answer. Some were group questions and others were individual questions.

Chris Reed, who was the Quiz Master, has been setting the quiz questions for the past 25 years.

The Word was brought in in procession, and accompanied by beautiful harmonising singers who placed the Word in a prominent position.

Sr Diane Granger, the past Provincial Head of the Ursuline Order, was also with them for the day to support the teams.

The event was thoroughly enjoyed by all the schools and the staff involved.
