Two years for sexually assaulting a woman

He sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman last year.

Freeman Moyo, who was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 22-year-old woman last year, has been sentenced to two years behind bars.

The case was opened in December 2017 in Hekpoort, and was settled in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court.

The case was investigated by Warrant Officer Peter Rakhudu, who is attached to the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) in Krugersdorp.

The FCS Unit commander, Lieutenant Colonel Kathy Segotta, congratulated the investigating officer for the effort he made during the investigation. The case was well-prepared for court, ensuring a quick result.

“Keep up the good work, colleague, because your efforts ensure that the victim is heard,” said Segotta.
