Homeowners – answers about fibre installation issues coming soon
Residents explained that they are unhappy with the results of the installation done by Motheo Construction Group.
The News has received numerous complaints from concerned residents regarding the installation of fibre internet in the Kenmare and Silverfields areas.
Residents explained that they are unhappy with the aftermath of the installations done by Motheo Construction Group.
“Kenmare is getting data, but at a cost. The contractors installing the data are ripping up driveways, disrupting municipal services and making inadequate reparations,” resident James van Rhyn said.
“Where is the municipality in all this? Why are these people not supervised? Are the contractors being penalised for the damages they cause?”
Just like James, various other residents raised more questions. Shortly afterwards, a statement was released by Motheo’s Business Development Executive, Jade Ceresa Gomes Dos Santos.
“If (you or) any homeowners are dissatisfied with the quality of the reinstatement of your driveway or landscaping, please do escalate your concerns to jade@motheogroup.co.za directly,” the statement reads.
“Motheo Telecoms endeavours to ensure that a quality service has been delivered and as such we welcome any feedback or complaints.”
According to Jade, a team will be deployed into the Silverfields and Kenmare areas on Monday, 9 July.
The team will be going door-to-door to ensure that they have engaged with all affected residents in an effort to resolve any outstanding matter.
