Krugersdorp Camera Club a photographic sensation

The club is open to everybody who has a keen interest in photography and wants to learn more about this beautiful and creative art form.

The Krugersdorp Camera Club held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Friday evening, 22 June.

It was the club’s 88th AGM, and was very well attended by the members.

The club was founded in 1930, which means that it has lots of traditions and history.

The evening was started with a bit of sherry to welcome all attendants.

The club welcomed their guest of honour, Anne d’Oliveira, Central Gauteng resident and regional Director of the Photographic Society of South Africa, with open arms. She also attends monthly meetings on a regular basis.

A new General Committee was elected at the end of the meeting. The committee will be responsible for all aspects of the club, including the organising of regular workshops, club competitions, national and international competitions as well as social events and weekend outings.

The highlight of the AGM is always the handing out of the trophies to the different members who have shown their skills and dedication to photography as a form of art. There are trophies for all categories and levels of advancement.

The club is open to everybody who has a keen interest in photography, and wants to learn more about this beautiful and creative art form.
