Prospercare visits orphaned babies on Mandela Day
"They are really struggling. They have a lot of children who are very small. "
Prospercare Benefit Solutions sent a group of volunteers to House Jade Baby Haven in West Village to spend their 67 minutes for Mandela Day the best way they possibly could – holding babies.
The company felt that they needed to give back to the community and assist those in need.

Prospercare also sponsored the children with winter clothes, food, toys, cleaning products and gifts for the care-givers as they are really committed to these children.
It’s the first time the company had done anything like this and the volunteers were very excited about the opportunity they had.

Knowing that babies need lots of care and money as they grow fast and end up growing out of clothes, the company decided to help them where we can. This is the legacy that Mandela left with all South Africans – to help those who are in need.
The company hopes to spend more time with initiatives like these and sees it as a new beginning for them as a team. They plan to visit old age homes next year, because they know some elderly people are very lonely and do not have many visitors.
