Pancakes for your preloved goods

The donated goods will be distributed within the community.

In celebration of its third birthday, Hope for the Future – a local charity – decided to host a ‘pancakes for donations’ drive in an effort to give back to the community which has supported the organisation since its establishment.

In June, members of the public brought clothes, blankets and even mattresses among other things in return for pancakes.

“We provided donors with a number of freshly baked pancakes in accordance with how much they donated. The donated goods will now be distributed within the community,” Yolandi Coetzee from the charity said.

Several children accompanying their parents were also thrilled when Hoppy the Clown made a special appearance. She made sure that each child left with not only a fresh pancake, but also some sweet treats and a smile.

Yolandi would like to thank everyone who supported the cause and made an effort to make a difference in the lives of others.

If you would like to know more about the organisation or if you would like to lend a helping hand, feel free to contact Yolandi on 062 748 4657.
