Big Top Rock
Until 26 AUGUST — The Barnyard Theatre Silverstar proudly presents the return of its legendary rock and roll circus show – Big Top Rock; the rock concert with a difference! ROAR-GUST UNWIND
3–4 AUGUST — Twice every year the Roodepoort Little Theatre Productions takes over the Roodepoort Basement Theatre. ROAR-GUST UNWIND is their 2018 winter warmer. Not only will you get to enjoy marvellous performances by the cream of the RLT crop, you’ll have a unique opportunity to see other fabulous acts. Tickets to this performance are R100 per person and the venue is The Basement Theatre, Roodepoort Theatre Complex, Civic Centre in Florida. Guided group tour
5 AUGUST — Join a guided group tour of up to 10km through the Melville Koppies. The group sets off 2pm sharp. You can park, meet and pay in the upper car park at Marks Park on Judith Road, Emmarentia. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 for children – all donations are used to maintain the Koppies. Hikers must be fit with good balance as paths are rocky and steep. Children must be over six years old. Sorry, no dogs allowed. Women of Wine SA Festival
12 AUGUST — Some of the country’s best boutique wines and bubbly – made by female wine makers – will be showcased at the upcoming Women of Wine South Africa Festival from 11am, in celebration of Women’s Month. This not-to-be-missed event, which is open to the whole family, takes place at the Candlewoods Boutique Venue in Centurion in conjunction with leading Johannesburg wine outlet Wine Menu, run by Corlien Morris. Elevate Conference
31 AUGUST to 2 SEPTEMBER — The Real Life Church in Krugersdorp North is hosting a three-day conference. Pastors Noel and Zelda Wood will be hosting guest speakers who include pastor Fabion Jood and Bradley Straarup. This is going to be an incredible conference filled with God’s presence and power.
