St Ursuline to represent school on national level

According to Samantha who has been doing public speaking since Grade 4, she will be competing against speakers from all over South Africa.

Saint Ursula’s Catholic School is proud to announce that one of its Grade 10 learners, Samantha van der Nest, will be representing the school at the ATKV’s National Final Round for Public Speaking.

The event will take place from 16 to 18 August in Buffelspoort. According to Samantha, who has been doing public speaking since Grade 4, she will be competing against speakers from all over South Africa.

This follows after she came first in Gauteng during the Provincial Finals earlier this year and competed in the Nationals last year.

The final round will consist of two divisions, namely Additional Language and Home Language. Samantha will be competing in the Additional Language Division with the topic ‘Skoolverlaters is die katjie van die baan’.

She also one of approximately three learners chosen countrywide to speak in her division. The school is very proud of her wishes her only the best of luck.
