All dogs go to heaven … and so will Carmen-Lea
Despite her youth, Carmen-Lea gets dog food donations, divides them into smaller parcels and hands them to dog owners in her less-privileged area.
Carmen-Lea Grotjohn is only 12 years old, but feeds nearly 30 dogs each week.
With the help of the Pet Food Agency, which regularly donates large bags of dog-food, she makes sure the dogs in the less-fortunate area she lives in have something scrumptious to eat.

Carmen-Lea takes the huge bag of dog food, divides it into smaller bags and walks around her neighbourhood, handing the bags over to owners.
Then she returns home, does her homework and goes to school the next morning, which is incredible because her school, Laerskool Protearif, was the initial inspiration for her kindness. The school held a similar project, and she decided to carry on feeding dogs long after their project had finished.

Her motto in life is “Dogs ask for so little, yet they deserve so much” and with this operation that she spearheads herself, she can give a lot more to them.
Carmen-Lea is now asking the rest of the community to help her to keep feeding the dogs in her area. To make a dog-food donation, contact Hino on 074 267 8996.
