Nooitgedacht husband dies after armed men invade home and open fire
The couple were in their bedroom when two unknown men entered through an unlocked front door.
The Muldersdrift Police are investigating a case of house robbery and murder which occurred on Saturday, 25 August at about 7pm in the Nooitgedacht area.
Drift Reaction posted on their Facebook page that the control centre received numerous panic signals from the property.

The Ghost Squad, Iron Fist Squad and their Tactical Units were dispatched. While on their way to the property, the control centre phoned the client who reported that one of his tenants had been shot during an armed robbery.
According to the police report issued by spokesperson Constable Slindile Ntuli, the couple was allegedly inside their cottage when two men entered and fired shots.
“The husband, 30, was shot in the upper body and died on the scene. His wife, 32, was not injured. The suspects took electronic appliances, a laptop, and cash, and fled the scene.
“We are appealing to the community to assist with any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators of this crime.”
The woman told the Drift Reaction officer she and her husband were in their bedroom when two unknown men entered through the unlocked front door.
“One of the armed men simply lifted his firearm and shot her husband,” says the Facebook post.
Paramedics arrived soon after, but the man was declared dead.
This was not the first time the man had been shot. According to Drift Reaction, he was also shot in the leg a few months ago when he arrived home after work and suspects overpowered the couple. At the time of this incident, he said he was going to move, but unfortunately this did not happen.
