Tarlton Police raid illegal shebeens

The suspects are expected to appear in court soon.

On Saturday, 8 September, Tarlton Police conducted a crime-prevention operation during which four illegal shebeens were raided and closed.

Four suspects were arrested for dealing in liquor without a licence, while 248 litres of liquor were confiscated. Eight undocumented foreign nationals were also arrested.

According to Constable Lucky Matome, Tarlton Police spokesperson, the suspects are expected to appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
