Jacaranda FM’s #Straatbraai coming to Krugersdorp!

Jacaranda FM’s Scenic Drive, hosted by Rian van Heerden, will kick off spring properly with a #Straatbraai in Krugersdorp this Friday, 14 September.
This will be the seventh Jacaranda FM Scenic Drive #Straatbraai and will take place in Elphin Street, Kenmare – with the team broadcasting live from 4pm to 7pm. Anyone is welcome to join!
“With spring in the air, we’re really looking forward to this Friday’s #Straatbraai! The Straatbraai initiative was started in February this year. The idea was to provide an opportunity for people to get together, to get to know their neighbours again; to create a sense of common cause and unity again. It’s something that was so part of the South African culture, but, for some reason, we haven’t been doing it for years.
Now we’re having street braais again, coming together as South Africans – irrespective of background or heritage,” Rian said.
“This is an amazing initiative that has proved immensely popular – one where more and more people turn up, and the fun doubles, with every braai we have. We were astounded by how well a simple concept of braaiing together, having a drink together and having a kuier to the tune of more music you love unites South Africans and we’re looking forward to all of Krugersdorp and surroundings coming out to join us!”
