[UPDATE] Two arrests linked to bodies found in open veld
Police are not done and are still searching for other suspects involved.
After intensive investigation, Kagiso Police secured the arrests of two suspects linked to four similar murders committed in Kagiso in May.
For three months, police followed every lead and finally arrested and charged two suspects, aged 24 and 28, for the murders which left the community shocked and traumatised.

All the victims were found in an open veld in Kagiso, on their stomach with their hands tied behind their backs.
The fifth victim died a few days later in hospital. The West Rand Police Cluster commander, Major General Fred Kekana assembled a team of experienced detectives and crime-intelligence members to conduct investigations.
The team worked around the clock and took more than six suspects in for questioning.
“The search and investigations are still on and we hope to make more arrests. The two suspects will be tried in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court today (13 September),” Kagiso Police station commander, Brigadier Themba Maduna said.
