Man sets vehicle alight while another is inside
The suspect poured petrol on the vehicle while the victim was inside.
On Friday, 14 September a man was with his friends and business partners on Tom Muller Street, Krugersdorp West when a fight allegedly broke out between him and another man.
One of the men allegedly poured petrol on the vehicle of the other man while he was inside and set it alight. “The victim sustained serious burn injuries and was admitted to hospital for treatment, but unfortunately died. The suspect was arrested for attempted murder the same day,” Sergeant Tshepiso Mashele, Krugersdorp Police spokesperson said.

Mashele said the charge was changed to murder the following day after receiving the news that the man had died in hospital.
The 33-year-old suspect will appear in the Krugersdorp Magistrates’ Court soon.
