Welcome to the News, Natasha!

Meet the newest addition to the Krugersdorp News team.

It has been said that a change is as good as a holiday. Never have these words been more true for Natasha Pretorius than during the past few weeks.

“A month ago, I was living on the East Rand, working for some of the local newspapers,” she said. “But my ‘holiday’ was on its way.

“First let me tell you about myself. I come from the small mining community of Carletonville. I studied graphic design at CTU. My first real job, however, was with a local newspaper in Potchefstroom and over time I progressed from layout to journalist. I realised that I loved a good story, I loved being involved in the community and I loved writing.

“For a while I moved around and eventually landed on the East Rand, which is where I met and married my husband.

“But our hearts were not on the East Rand and a change was needed. So, when the opportunity arose to become part of the Krugersdorp News we jumped at it. This new chapter meant we had to move. A new town and all the wonderful people that make up the Krugersdorp community, that I have yet to meet.”

Natasha enjoys reporting on the hard issues and the occasional human interest story.
