Take part in the annual 4×4 fun day for G&B Town this weekend
You are invited to attend the annual 4x4 fun day hosted by Kosmos Lodge in support of Girls and Boys Town.
Kosmos Lodge has been hosting the 4×4 annual family fun day in aid of charities for the past 12 years, with Girls and Boys Town being the primary beneficiary for the past number of years.
The plan is to have 60 vehicles enter the competition on 14 October, in celebration of Girls and Boys Town’s 60 years of hope.
The institution strives to help boys, girls and their families, who are overburdened by the weight of life’s circumstances, to choose a positive path to cope and SHINE (Significance, Home, Independence, Nurture and Education).
Over 20 000 young people benefit annually from their donor-funded professional therapeutic and support services. They have 10 residential facilities and their SACE-accredited training programmes are intended for parents, educational institutions, schools and professionals who are in contact with youth and children.
They are appealing to the community to become part of these donor-funded programmes. By donating R450 a month you can ensure that a child stays in school for one week. R250 will ensure that all the child’s health and nutrition needs are met. You can also donate goods that will ensure the effective functioning of these Youth Development Centres, or you can enter for the 4×4 fun day.
Entrance is R200 if you book and enter before the day, and R250 if you enter on the day.
The fun starts at 9am at Hobby Park which is on the corner of Lud Hersch and Robert Broom Drive, Krugersdorp. Prize-giving will be held at 2pm and there are plenty of prizes and spot prizes to be won.
