NO WATER AGAIN – Burst pipe may take a while to fix

A burst main line water pipe left countless residents without water this morning.

Krugersdorpers in the central part of town had to speed up their morning bath and shower routine after a major pipe burst near the fire station outside the CBD.

The News received numerous calls regarding the water outage, with residents expressing their dismay.

A main line pipe in Commissioner Street has burst.

According to Lynette Zwankhuizen, DA ward councillor, a main line water pipe had burst and teams have been deployed to repair it.

The water supply to various parts of Krugersdorp has been shut down for the teams to fix the problem.

Some roads in the Commissioner Street area have also been closed.

Teams have already been deployed to fix the problem.

Zwankhuizen said that the water will be off for the rest of the day at least.
