On Sunday at about 1am, the team was again called out, this time to a house fire in Krugersdorp.
“Tragically, an elderly woman died and three other people, two men and a woman, sustained injuries in the fire,” Herbst said.
The patients were treated at the scene and then transported to hospital for further assessment. Fire and rescue services managed to put out the fire but the cause of the fire has to still be determined by a police investigation.
