Four arrests made after violent house robbery

Four of the six men wanted for the house robbery of a Kagiso man have been arrested.

“The Kagiso Police are making life difficult for the perpetrators of violent, contact and property related crimes. We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those involved are brought to book, no matter how long it takes to locate them,” said Captain Solomon Sibiya, spokesperson for the Kagiso Police.

Four suspects were arrested for a house robbery in Swaneville between 2.38am and 3.10am on 26 October.

It it alleged that on 16 September at 9pm, six men knocked on a resident’s shack door and then forced their way inside by kicking the door down. One of the men was armed with a knife and stabbed the man in the face before they stole his amplifier, TV set, cellphone and cash.

The man could identify one of the men and the lead led to the arrest of four of the perpetrators. There are still two more on the run.

The four men briefly appeared in the Kagiso Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
