Two worthy early Christmas Markets
3 NOVEMBER — Do your Christmas shopping at Krugersdorp High School’s Duckpond Christmas Market from 9am until 3pm. For enquiries, contact Jody on 072 192 2720.
3 NOVEMBER — The Kom Ons Dien God Saam Ministries is also hosting an early Christmas Market. The Ministries are situated on the corner of Lagois and Commissioner Streets, Krugersdorp West. Boeredans
3 NOVEMBER — Die Tradisonele Boeremusiekklub aan die Wes-Rand hou ‘n Boeredans in die Witpoortjie Ontspanningsentrum op die hoek van Suid- en Vermootenstraat, Princess, Roodepoort. Bring jou eie mandjie met eet- en drinkgoed saam en dans op die maat van egte tradisionel Boeremusiek gespeel deur Ferdie van Zyl, Stephaan van Zyl, Frik Smit en ander musikante. Drag is netjies en geen kortbroeke word toegelaat. Toegang is R50 per persoon. Skoolgaande kinders is welkom en het gratis toegang. Group Hike
4 NOVEMBER — Join a guided group tour of up to three hours through Melville Koppies Central. The tour sets off 3pm sharp, so please arrive well in time. You can park, meet, and pay in the upper parking area at Marks Park in Judith Road, Emmarentia. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 children – all donations are used to maintain the Koppies. Silverstar Markets
4 NOVEMBER — The Local Market has partnered with Silverstar to create a specialised market that promotes small business owners, artisans, musicians, designers and culinary specialists. The Silverstar Market will provide a platform for passionate local people who are proud of their work and offer quality products a place to showcase their talents and wares. While you browse the stalls for delectable eats and other artisanal goodies, the kids can enjoy the dedicated play area. The Silverstar Market will run every Sunday from 9am to 4pm from Sunday, 4 November; and during December Silverstar Market will also open on a Saturday. Tickets available via the Silverstar website or at the Silverstar Box Office.
