Woman rushed to hospital after serious collision

A T-bone collision leaves 51-year-old woman seriously injured.

Late yesterday evening, 4 December, a 51-year-old woman was taken to the Netcare Pinehaven Hospital after being involved in an accident.

It was reported that her Ford Ranger was involved in a T-bone collision at the corner of Van Oordt Street and Voortrekker Road, which left the front of the 4×4 badly damaged.

“The woman was treated on the scene for multiple injuries and transported to the hospital by Advanced Life Support Paramedics,” said Netcare 911 Media liason officer, Shawn Herbst.

There is as of yet no information available about the second vehicle as it fled the scene shortly after the collision.

All necessary authorities were on the scene.
