Huge relief as WRDM employees go back to work
After more than two weeks of downed tools, the employees of the WRDM have returned to work.
Good news! The West Rand District Municipality (WRDM) is up and running again.
WRDM employees returned to their posts on 4 December after striking for more than two weeks.
Employees downed tools after it emerged that third parties had not been paid for a few months. Benefits like medical aid and pension had been suspended for these employees.

With the festive season kicking off, it is a relief to know that these men and women are back at their posts, and the News received reports that the third parties have been paid.
According to one of the employees, they are glad to be back and to be able to help the community again.
