Polly Shorts learners help their community

Learners from the Polly Short Academy in Lanseria donated food to a local orphanage.

The learners of Polly Shorts Academy in Lanseria recently did their part to help their local community.

In July the school hosted a festival to celebrate the school’s fifth anniversary and decided to do some good in their community as well.

This double-medium school moved from Roodepoort to Lanseria in April. It caters for pre-school to Grade 12 learners.

The food that was donated to the LIV Village.

Together with GoG Lifestyle Park in Muldersdrift, they collected food for a local charity. The beneficiary is the LIV Village Lanseria Centre, previously known as the Refilwe Community Project.

The Villiage offers a safe house for children. It provides foster care and helps to find families to adopt the children.

The food that was donated will help to feed the children in the Village, as they fully depend on donations from the community.
