CPF Sector 4 brings some Christmas cheer to town
Sector 4's CPF and Apcan Security spread some cheer last weekend when they had a Christmas and visibility drive around town.
The Community Policing Forum (CPF) Sector 4 and Apcan Security had a visibility and Christmas drive on Saturday, 8 December. Festively decorated cars and Apcan employees, all dressed in their trademark red, set out to make the community aware that they are available this festive season, but more than that they wanted to bring some cheer to the residents of their sector and town.

A local resident sponsored the use of a truck for the event and it was decorated to fit in with the rest of the convoy. Santa had a special seat on the back of the truck and thanks to a generous donation by Apcan, more than 1 100 sweet packets could be handed out by him and his helpers.

The almost 30 car convoy, which included Krugerdorp Police and Public Safety officers moved through the whole of Wentworth Park, through Monument, made a stop at The Bethany House Trust (a local orphanage), and then moved on to Noordheuwel. They even drove through Sectors 3 and 7 before finishing just after 2pm.
The sector had a new initiative this year – parents could buy their children a present and then Santa would hand-deliver it to them. On Saturday they delivered more than 20 presents.

Although Santa has already delivered some presents, parents can still have their little ones write a letter to Santa. He will then write a letter back and it will be hand-delivered to your child.
A few sweet packets were left over and on 15 December they will hand out the rest. Everyone will meet in front of the Krugersdorp Police Station at 8.30am and will then drive in convoy to Munsieville where they are visiting a local children’s home where the rest of the sweets will be handed out.
