A Christmas Experience

14 DECEMBER — The Real Life Church in Krugersdorp North is bringing a magical two-day Christmas Experience to Krugersdorp. This exciting events kicks off at 6pm and will be a Christmas delight. There will be a petting zoo with pony rides, kids’ crafts, food stalls, a market, selfie opportunities with Santa and live cartoon characters roaming around. Ultimate Kids Holiday
UNTIL 6 JANUARY — During these December holidays, Cradlestone Mall is bringing youngsters some wild and fun themed holiday activities. Their free holiday fun runs inside the mall in the lower level promotional courts, and includes a jungle playground for kids. Adrenalin-pumping inflatables may get all the buzz in the Adventure Park situated outdoors in the open parking, but there’s also a lot of tamer fun to be had for families with little kids. The Beach at Silverstar
UNTIL 6 JANUARY — The West Rand’s favourite entertainment destination is gearing up to become a holiday paradise right on your doorstep once again … Silverstar’s Beach Festival! For the fourth year running, The Square, situated at the heart of Silverstar, will be transformed into a sandy amusement park from 10am to 10pm daily (closed on Christmas Day). No need to pack up half the house and drive for hours for the family to enjoy the sun and sand – and the best part is that entry to Silverstar’s Beach Festival is free!
Tour the Melville Koppies
16 DECEMBER – Join a guided group tour through Melville Koppies Central of up to 4km or three hours. Tour sets off at 8.30am sharp, so arrive well in time. You can park in the upper parking area at Marks Park in Judith Road, Emmarentia, then walk across Judith to their entrance opposite. Costs are R60 for adults and R40 for children – all donations are used to maintain the Koppies. Children must be over six years old. No dogs allowed.
