[WATCH] Men get away with undisclosed of money in Engen heist

Three unknown men attacked a security guard from the G4S group yesterday as he was going to load money in the truck.

Three brazen robbers recently stole an undisclosed amount of cash from a G4S security vehicle that was picking up money in Kagiso.

The vehicle was picking up money from an Engen service station on the corner of Kagiso Avenue and Sebenzisa Drive in Kagiso at 11am on Monday, 28 January.

Video footage captured the incident – the security guard can be seen walking out of the premises with a cash trolley. As he stops to open the back of the security truck, a man in a yellow jacket comes from behind the truck and tries to detain him, while another man in a light blue jacket comes out of a shop, taking out a firearm.

Then a man in a blue overall comes closer, also with a firearm, pulls the trolley away and runs off with it.
The man in the light blue jacket pulls the security guard aside while pointing the firearm at him. He tries to take the guard with him but the guard eventually gets away.

Colonel Brenda Muridili from the National Police has confirmed the incident and said a case of cross-pavement robbery is being investigated.

The three unknown suspects fled in a white Nissan NP200 bakkie, but the registration number is unknown.
Shots were fired, but no injuries were reported and the men got away with an undisclosed amount of money.
