Five men attack and rob a 64-year-old Noordheuwel woman

Men entered the premises, attacked a woman and tied her up before burgling her home.

A 64-year-old woman was attacked and robbed at her home in Noordheuwel on Tuesday, 5 March at around 11.45am. She claimed that five men confronted her while she was outside removing clothes from a washing line. One of the men was armed with a screwdriver and another had a pickaxe.

The five men overpowered the woman and physically attacked her. Her hands were tied and her head covered with a pillow case before the men raided her home. A safe containing a firearm, jewellery and confidential documents was removed from a wall.

A cellphone and a flat-screen television were also taken from the home. The five men took off in an unidentified white vehicle.

The Krugersdorp Police are currently investigating the case and are appealing to the community to come forward with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
