Fora gets big donation from compassionate youngsters

The students from the Epsilon Academic Support Centre spent the whole term collecting things to donate to Fora.

The Epsilon Academic Support Centre in Noordheuwel has decided this year will be all about charity.

They have decided that every term they will choose a new charity and collect donations to give to the charities at the end of the term.

For the first term they chose Friends Of Rescued Animals (Fora) as their charity.

The donations collected by students and staff.

The team from Fora came with two of their rescue dogs to visit the centre and received the donations.

One of the dogs they brought with them is Onyx, a loving black dog with only one eye. It is believed she was beaten with a hammer as a pup and that is how she lost her eye.

The other one was Oya, a very energetic pup who was burned with boiling water before being taken in by Fora.

The students from the centre collected dog and cat food, a dog kennel, blankets, ice cream bowls, newspapers toys, leashes and many more items to give to the organisation.

While doing the handover, Onyx and Oya tested out the kennel and received lots of love from the students.

Afterwards, one of the students, Aaron Stander, read a poem called My Pet.
